About

Hi, I’m Aditya Dev Ranjan — but around here, you’ll mostly see me as ADR.

This isn’t a niche blog. It’s not just a hair blog, or a health blog, or a philosophy blog. It’s all of it — because that’s how life actually works. You don’t get to deal with your body, your mind, your career, and your beliefs in separate, tidy boxes. They all bleed into each other, and I’d rather write about life the way it’s actually lived than pretend it fits neatly into one category.

Why This Space Exists

I started writing here because I went through a few years I don’t talk about lightly — stress that cost me my hair, a depression I didn’t have a name for at the time, and a long, slow climb back to feeling like myself again. Somewhere in figuring that out, I realized the things that actually helped weren’t quick fixes. They were shifts in how I thought, how I treated my body, and how I chose to respond to things I couldn’t control.

This blog is where I put that down in words — partly for myself, and partly because I know I wasn’t the only one going through it quietly.

What You’ll Find Here

There’s no single lane. Some posts will be about:

  • Health, the honest way — things like hair loss, nutrition, recovery, and what I’ve actually learned from my own bloodwork and routines (never sold to you as medical advice — just my experience)
  • Mental fog, stress, and getting your mind back — self-work, what helped me, what didn’t, and the slow, unglamorous parts of recovery nobody puts in a highlight reel
  • Philosophy and personal takes — my honest point of view on things I’m figuring out, questioning, or have simply come to believe through experience
  • Design and the way we build things — I come from an architecture and site-planning background, so how spaces, cities, and structures are designed genuinely fascinates me, and it’ll show up here too
  • Whatever else life throws my way — because that’s the whole point of this space

My Background, Briefly

By profession, I work in industrial planning and site development — hands-on with layouts, master planning, and how things get designed and built on the ground. Alongside that, I’m working toward a much bigger long-term goal: preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, with the aim of serving as an IAS officer. That pursuit shapes a lot of how I think about discipline, patience, and playing a long game — themes you’ll probably see woven through my writing here too.

Why I Write

Suffering is part of being human — I don’t think you get to opt out of that. But how you respond to it? That part is yours to choose. This blog is me trying to choose well, out loud, in public, in case it helps someone else do the same.

I’m not here to give you a formula. I’m here to be honest about what I’ve lived through, what I’m still working on, and what I genuinely believe — one post at a time.

Thanks for reading. I mean that.
